
The 28th
California Alfalfa Symposium was
held this year in Reno, NV, organized jointly with Univeristy of California
Alfalfa Workgroup and Nevada Cooperative Extension and Nevada Farm
Bureau. This also replaces the 1999 Nevada Symposium, sponsored by NV Farm
Bureau and University of Nevada. Topics include: Hay Exports,
Dairy situation, pest control, hay harvesting, irrigation, forage quality,
soil fertility, interseeding, and innovations from industry. Topics will
be relevant to all alfalfa growers and industry people, and others interested
in alfalfa, but especially those from western states. Comprehensive
