Hotel Reservations
The 2006 Western Alfalfa & Forage Conference will be held at John Ascuaga’s Nugget Resort Hotel, 1100 Nugget Avenue in Sparks, Nevada, 89431, within blocks of Reno. The Conference runs Tuesday December 12, 2006 through Wednesday, December 13, 2006 and is preceded by a tour on Monday, December 11, 2006.
You are required to make your own hotel reservations. Be sure to mention the Conference when calling the Nugget at 1-800-648-1177. Alternatively, view their Web site at http://www.janugget.com/hotel/reservations.cfm to make reservations online. Enter the required group code – GALF6. The cut-off date for a guaranteed reservation is November 20, 2006, so please prepare to secure your room(s) early. After that date, the rooms will be released for registration to anyone and they may all be taken soon thereafter.
Hotel guests are entitled to complimentary use of the indoor pool and health club, free parking and shuttle service to and from the Reno Airport (RNO). The Conference room block consists of deluxe rooms in the Tower section of the hotel and the rate is $80.00/night single or double occupancy. Triple and quad rates are an additional $10.00/person. Add County room tax of 13.5% plus a $5.00 per room per night resort fee. These rates apply three days prior to and three days after the Conference – December 6, 2006 through December 17, 2006, on a space available basis.
A one night room deposit is required by the hotel to guarantee accommodations and they accept all major credit cards. The deposit guarantees your room until midnight and it is refundable if you cancel 48 hours before your arrival date. Check-in is 3:00 p.m. and check-out is 11:00 a.m. The Reno Airport shuttle runs every ½ hour from 4:30 a.m. to midnight and picks up passengers from the baggage claim area for the short two-mile trip south to the hotel.
